🌱 Where It Started
I grew up in a big family with modest means, in the mountains far from any tech hub. What I lacked in resources, I made up for with curiosity and persistence.
In late 2012, I stumbled onto the Internet and realised how disruptive it was to be able to build and publish something the whole world could reach. Since that day, I've been learning every single day. What began as curiosity about building websites grew into a deep passion for infrastructure, distributed systems, and open source — and I've never looked back.
🏢 What I'm Doing Now — Woven by Toyota
At Woven by Toyota, I build and operate a multi-tenant, multi-cloud Kubernetes platform — Namespace-as-a-Service and Cluster-as-a-Service — that powers Woven's ML workloads. In practice, that means running 1000+ node clusters in production and making them feel effortless for the teams that depend on them.
Operating at that scale keeps me honest: every design decision carries real weight, and that's exactly the kind of problem I love solving.
🛠️ Building intervyo.ai
On the side, I built intervyo.ai, and my partner runs it — together we've grown it into a profitable product. I focus on the engineering; they drive the business. Two people, one team, shipping something real and useful.
💻 Open Source & Craft
I'm a self-taught engineer who learns best by building real systems. A few things I'm proud of:
- Kubernetes: One of the top contributors based in Japan 🇯🇵, contributing to SIG projects like LWS (LeaderWorkerSet), JobSet, and DRA (Dynamic Resource Allocation).
- Earlier work: Core contributor to Flyte and Kyverno, with contributions to Falco too.
- Infrastructure at scale: ML pipelines and distributed systems that don't just work — they scale. I like making complex things simple.
- Battle-tested skills: Go, TypeScript, Python — and, more importantly, knowing when to use what.
I see systems the way I do because I've learned them from the ground up — and I still find that the most fun part of the work.
💭 My Philosophy
I measure output in terms of impact, not just monetary value. Living in the mountains — and now in Japan — has taught me that fulfillment comes from:
